Remember Gene Kelly dancing in the storm in "Singing in the Rain?" We should all try it. I probably would break my leg but I can walk in the rain.

Within a Rain Drop

The rain drop falls from the gray sky overhead.

It drops to the ground to find a place to land.

It may bounce off your window before it fills the flower bed

With life giving water so the daffodils can stand

And proudly proclaim the coming of spring.

We often think of rain as sad and dull

Without thinking of how it helps trees grow strong and tall.

All of life is enforced by each little rain drop

Without which, the growth of all would surely stop.

So the next time it rains watch it in wonder

And enjoy the flashes of lightning and the clap of the thunder.

For the rain will end but the life giving water stays.

It will help the plants grow and respond to the rays

Of the sun overhead which make the flowers reach for it there

With blossoms so beautiful that one cannot help but stare

At all of Gods creation and all he has done

The rain, the moon, the wind and the sun.

Look for something good in all that you see

For God put it all there for you and for me.

Look for the good in everything....you WILL find it! That is my credo, and what I taught my children...and now the grandchildren are being taught by them...

Thank you for passing on this important reminder, Lew, adeptly tucked inside your wonderful poetry...and O LORD, let it rain on me!!!

Blessings to you,
Rhonda

Hi Lew, these days any amount of rain is a welcome sight. Bet no one will get upset if it rains buckets, as well as cats and dogs...cause it helps to cool down the hot, hot temperatures, and as you said, water the plants, etc. Thanks for this thoughtful reminder!

God Bless
Lena

We need rain here in Texas; we are crying for moisture and a break from this awful heat! Well done, Lew!

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
