Consider the Leaf

The scientist will tell you the leaf of the tree

Has what they call a biological engine that allows it to be.

It collects the sunshine and evaporation from its surface

Will help cool the plant, that’s part of its purpose.

The leaf collects carbon dioxide from the air around

Through the roots of the plant which draws water from the ground.

When the leaf first starts to form on the branch of a tree

It begins to grow in the form of a bud but will soon be

The source of the raw materials that nature provides

It is by Gods wondrous works by which nature abides

And the leaf on the tree is just one more way

That God gives us life to sustain us each day.

So when you look at a leaf, appreciate God above.

For the leaf sustains life, one more act of his love.
