The Autumn Beauty
Leaves floating from the trees, dancing to and fro like snowflakes so light.
They are not white like the snow but colors of red, gold and yellow glimmering in flight.
The trees are putting on one final extravaganza before they sleep for the winter months.
I am reminded of trips with my father as a boy accompanying him on one of his hunts.
I watch the squirrels and rabbits as they prepare their homes for the long winter.
They instinctively know when the cold winds blow they will need a place to enter.
Have you ever traveled on a mountain range marveling at the wondrous colors from afar?
My Dad would take us on Skyline Drive and we would watch through the windows of his car.
It seems that every season has memories attached, reminding me of my loved ones who have gone before.
Though I cannot meet with them at this point in time, I will embrace them, of that I am sure.
Some people think that autumn is a time of dying but I see it as a cycle of life.
I see it’s beauty and I see it’s hope which causes my heart and soul no strife.
Take time, my friend to enjoy this season of the year
And share it with those that you hold dear.
Seasonal thoughts reflecting on a life
inspiration is everywhere
