Another Sunrise

Have you ever watched the sun rise in the east?

And then turned to see the moon setting in the west?

It is almost like they are soul mates who see each other

For just a moment or two with the whole world between them

And yet they are bound by a wonderful connection.

The light from the sun is what reflects off the moon

Creating the lesser light that rules the night.

So, though they are always so far away they are brother and sister.

The sun and the moon are almost always connected by light.

Only once in a while is there a night when the moon does not receive the light from the sun.  Maybe, this is what it is like when we feel cut off from God.

I believe it is during these times that we search and that is a good thing.

Search for him when you do not feel his presence.  Pray for him when you hear only silence.  Have faith to know that sometimes we let the world stand between us and God.

If we call for him, he will always be there even when we do not feel his presence.  If we search for him we will find he had never really left us but only pulled back so we would search him out.  This is our salvation.
