I have found a cure for depression. Jesus Christ! He is my tie with God. Here is someone who I can take my problems to. As I talk with him those problems become less heartbreaking and I find myself praising him for life. Prayer is a communication with our Lord and savior. No limits on monthly minutes. No charge for long distance and it is a long way to Heaven and no dropped calls.

If I be without the grace of Jesus Christ our Lord

If I put my faith in principalities of the world

If I hear the word of God but do not live it with all my might
And have not my light trimmed with his flame to help me through the night

If I find I have no forgiveness for others if they have done me wrong.
If I cannot lay my hurt upon the shoulders of my God to him I do not belong.

If his love has changed my life causing me to love my sisters and my brothers.
If his love reflects within my life and thereby glows to others
I am thereby freed from sin and doubt and made ready for his forgiveness.
I thereby am a disciple of his and will be lead by his loving goodness.
If I have learned to serve my Lord and follow his commandments as I have learned them.
I thereby learn to know him better and will move ever closer to him.
If I have learned these things and keep them in my heart
Oh, whoa is me is not my lament for I now have a new start.
Lovely, Lew. How can anyone not want to cling to this loving, gracious, kind, compassionate, unselfish, caring God who gave His very life for all, leaves me flabbergasted. Great write!
Superb write...isn't it almost ironic how people will complain...I myself sometimes included and feel a bit sorry for ourselves. When we have the ultimate answer with us at all times...if we could learn to always lean and trust in him. But I have found when the enemy is on my tracks...I have done something right to get him stirred up...for if I just lay idle and did not try to work for God, he would leave me alone because he would already have me where he wants me...great write, given me much to think about as well as the other readers indeed. Very inspiring.
