Our world today is truly troubled. Children are killing other children for various reasons. We have seen prayer abolished from School and this has left a void. We have seen Christians allow their different viewpoints drive them away from each other. We have seen governments who swore to serve the nation and its people but then decide to accept gifts from large companies to influence their decisions. Middle class America is in trouble. All of this makes one sad, for our nation cannot survive like this.
Void
You may ask me to define the meaning of the word void.
Emptiness is the first word that comes to mind
A world full of People who are tired, depressed and annoyed.
It is a complete lack of peace of mind. Love has not yet been defined.
It is hatred and frustration and an inability to understand others.
It's what comes into our soul when we refuse to love our sisters and brothers.
It is when life seems dreary and dark with no hope in site.
It is a sad state of affairs when we cannot see the light.
When God put the sun in sky he meant for it to brighten our days.
Many times, even on a clear day we live in a spiritual haze.
This is a void we have created for ourselves to live in.
And it will stay empty until we embrace our maker again.
Fill up you life with brotherly love and happiness.
Let your voice echo with Gods love and tenderness.
The void will become unbearable and heavy to carry.
It soon will be Christmas but if we forget what it is how can we be merry?
So pray to God for all that you know.
Show his love to everyone wherever you go.
If you can hear his voice through your conscience
You will then know the true meaning of confidence.
Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and all thy soul and all thy mind.
Eternal joy and happiness is what you will find.
If you love the Lord you will find love.
You will one day be with our Lord in Heaven above.

Makes me think of the Beginning...'And the earth was without form, and VOID, and darlness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved...
In these last days, we need to help people to cry out for the Spirit of God to move in their lives, and fill the void in their hearts, with His Undending Love. One cannot give, what one does not possess.
God, is love.
Lew, I hear your heart cry out to the lost and to believers who have themselves gone astray. It bothers me too, and I ask the Lord to show me ways to write to touch the heart of the lost. Still, God sees the big picture. We can only allow ourselves to be the vessels He uses to reach the lost. Those who hears His voice, will respond. Of that I'm certain. Case in point. We have a new member in our Bible study group. She was steeped in New Age stuff...but there was a longing in her heart to find the true God. You would be amazed what rubbish she shares with us. Yes, she is glad to be finally reading about the Triune God, though it will take her some time to understand this concept. The thing is, she heard the Master's call. Isn't that precious? We love her dearly and pray that she stays connected. So, keep writing, Lew. Only God knows who will receive the message.
Our world is full of people who have fallen prey to the tricks of satan...he has decieved people into believing that he does not exist and that time will last forever, and when their time is exhausted that the grave is their final stopping place...but how wrong they are...there is a heaven and a hell...and for those whom choose to serve satan..I'm afraid it's hell, and for those who choose to serve Jesus, it's eternal life where we'll never grow old, no more sickness, no more sorrow, no death, no graveyards, all will be peace and joy when we get there...it is hard almost more than a mere mortal mind can comprehend...but I love to try to imagine it. I am anxious to see my family that has gone on, and most of all to meet Jesus. And the part I don't understand...people will wait in line all day for a free handout, but want pray for salvation, it's free all the time, anywhere... Great write...you've got me all fired up too. This is better felt than told!

Quite true on an individual basis, but I've grown pessimistic over the global aspirations of this world which seems hell-bent to ruin souls. The sun will take its revenge I'm sure. But for those who trust God, the final outcome is victory. Victor
