Have you ever had the feeling that the true meaning of Christmas gets lost in all our celebrating. It is good to celebrate Christmas but let us be aware of why we celebrate. That celebration should go on all year long. We should give of ourselves every day and we should know that we do this because Christ first gave his life for us.
Celebrate CHRISTmas but celebrate it because Jesus Christ was born.
We celebrate the birth of Christ each December 25th.
We spend the months leading up to it shopping till we are stiff.
Christmas is more than presents and turkey and cranberry relish.
If we think of it as no more than that we are truly foolish.
Christmas is when we celebrate the birth of our salvation.
Jesus came into the world to fulfill God’s wondrous creation.
He lived to give, he gave his life and he gave us eternal life.
He lived his life to fulfill the fathers wish and endured all the strife.
He did all this because of eternal love for those who had gone astray.
So when you awake on this most wonderful day
Remember that God so loved the world that he gave his son to save the lost.
Are we willing to take the time to do his will no matter what the cost?
We celebrate the birth of Christ each December 25th. each year.
However let us celebrate it everyday for he is always near.
Trust in God and thank him as we celebrate our Saviors birth.
He lived, he loved and he gave his life to bring peace and good will on Earth.

You are so right my friend, for he lived just as we do. He was a real man who gave the ultimate sacrifice just for us, so that we could have an eternal life when our race is run here on earth...I enjoyed your poem it is beautiful and full of wisdom and inspiration. We do have to remember, celebrate and serve him seven days a week, twenty four hours a day, there will be times that we may stumble or make a mistake, but he is there to forgive when we ask for forgiveness, he aleady knows the intents and the desires of our hearts and knows if we are sincere in our service and hearts. I love the Lord Lew and find it more than a mere mortal mind can fathom or imagine...just what it will be like to see our Savior face to face, to live in such a beautiful place as Heaven...wont it be great to see our loved one's whom have gone on ahead of us? Oh my I feel as though I've been to church this morning, you've touched the depths of my spirit this beautiful Saturday morning. Merry Christmas my dear friend, keep writing those powerful words of inspiration.
