Happiness! Everyone wants it but we all find ourselves looking for it in the wrong places. Happiness does come from a series of events. Happiness is a wonderful ability to see something good coming from any event or series of events.
I searched around me but could not find
The one thing I needed… peace of mind.
I searched for it in my occupation
I even search for peace in my nation.
Searching, searching where could it be?
Searching, searching it seemed to be hiding from me.
I looked overseas… I even searched the heavens above.
Finally I realized that peace comes with love.
Love comes from within and not from without.
It is something that is with me if I can only see it, I have no doubt.
After searching and searching I finally surmised
That peace is feeling that can be truly realized
When you look within and accept God’s true gift.
The gift that he offers will give your spirit a lift.
Look within yourself and you will see
That peace of mind and happiness will come to be.
A truly inspiring write my friend...this brought a memory to my mind that I hadn't thought of in years...when I was in undergraduate school I was having a spiritual battle within, one that I give God the glory for helping me overcome, but back to the memory, we were asked to write a story about ourselves, the prompt was; if given one million dollars what would you buy...I remember right away I sat in this classroom with a smile on my face, chin up, while all the time suffering inside, I had just lost my Mamaw whom was my second mom, my husband was laid off of work and the company that I worked for was shutting down, my son was getting married he was my first born, and my daughter was entering her teens...we had just bought our farm and was in a financial strain, but to the outside world all was okay with me. I thought a million dollars, if it would buy it, I would buy peace of mind! Shortly thereafter I found my answer...and believe me prayer changes things, situations, finances, and can revive the inside the heart. What a wonderful write my friend for it has given me a memory for which I should always recall so to never get in that spiritual or mental shape again, recalling the victory will keep one on their knees, and their prayer life active. Enjoyed this so much!
