“No one lights a lamp and puts it under a bowl,” Jesus said’

He will put it on its stand so the light is not hidden but shines brightly instead.

He added, “Your eyes are the lamp of your body and when your eyes are good

Your body shows loves brightness and Gods immaculate holy glow.

“When your eyes are bad,” said Jesus, “Your body lives in darkness.  This must be understood.”

“See to it,” he added, “see to it that your light shines with the power of the Holy Spirit.

If no part of your body is in darkness you will never have reason to fear it.

If we, being followers of our Lord and savior keep our lamps trimmed and ready

Our faith will see us through good times and bad and our love for him will be strong and steady.

Do not let darkness enter through the portals of your everlasting soul

For if you do you will have allowed your light to be trapped by that insidious bowl.

Keep shining with the wondrous light of Gods glory and his glorious love.

Always keep your light shining until you meet with him in Heaven above.
