This morning I went to a specialist on allergies. After poking way too many holes in my arm he discovered that I am allergic to dust. Imagine that. I left the doctors office and got into my car which was covered with dust and other allergens I had to wonder, “How do I avoid dust? Stop breathing? I don’t think that would work. Well at any rate I stopped dwelling on the dusty problem and thought back to my drive to the doctor’s office. It was early morning so nature was putting on its wonderful show. I found myself talking to God. As I rambled on about what was to come I suddenly stopped and asked, “Am I talking to your, Lord? Possibly I am only talking to myself.
I came around a turn and a beautiful sight met my eyes. The half moon was still in the western sky. In the east was the sun and in the west there set the moon. It was almost as if God were saying, “Do you see that?” This had to be a sign that he was listening. Maybe it was my imagination but even if it were he gave me that imagination. At any rate, it prompted me to write the next poem.
You rarely see them both together for one rules the day and the other the night.
However when you do see them though it lasts a fleeting second it becomes a wonderful and beautiful sight.
The sun is shining bright over the mountains in the eastern sky.
It is as if it were saying a brief hello to the moon and then a quick goodbye.
The moon has done its duty and now moves on to the Earths other side.
The sun now will light up the entire country both far and wide.
They are brother and sister but they seem to have little time to spend together.
They work together to create the light and light the darkness through all kinds of weather.
As the sun rises the moon quickly moves out of our sight.
However, we take comfort that we will see her again tonight.
Though we rarely see them together we know that they never truly leave one another.
The light from the moon is supplied by her friend and brother.
What an inspiring write my friend! The Lord does have a way of getting our attention, and what about the enemy trying to cloud your mind if only for a second with doubt! This happens to all Christians weather they admit it or not, it's happened to me too, the great thing is that we recognize the God's answer when He places before us, or whispers it in our heart as you did my friend! Many would write this occurance off as a scientific wonder or just one of those things...nothing happens just by chance for we are in the hands of an all mighty God, so glad I am! Bet the enemy's little stabs of doubt had to flee when you saw this glorious sight! Life is a spiritual warfare but we are on the winning side! Enjoyed this much, great write!

Here in Florida we have this opportunity quite often...right around 6:45-7:00am...I can sit out on the back patio, with my freshly brewed morning coffee, and see this sibling dawn...you spark of!
As far as the dust is concerned...well now you have an excuse for not cleaning! HA! I'm so glad my kids don't have allergies! LOL!

Dear Lew,
I also feel blessed whenever I am privileged to see the sun and the moon sharing the same sky.

This was a joy to read. Each line flowed so easily into the next thought that it examplified the common dependency of our entire universe. If only humanity would learn such virtue.
