He Rode a White Horse

Remember the Lone Ranger. He was a champion of justice. He never took a life. He aimed at the gun the bad guys carried and shot it out of their hands. This was the innocent years of television. Jesus Christ never took a life. He infuriated the scribes and Pharisees but he came to die for them and for us all. Why do we not believe?

Poem Artwork

He rode into town on his horse of white.

He heard the cry of a damsel and understood her plight.

He quickly brought the villains to their knees.

The whole town sung happy reveries.

He never took a life but shot the guns out of their hands.

Leaving the towns people to ask, “Who was that masked man.

He was the Lone Ranger and we know he is fiction.

People want to believe in good over evil.  It is an addiction.

Somehow we tend to believe that Jesus Christ is also pretend.

To believe what we have not seen leaves our minds unable to extend.

This means the Lone Ranger and Jesus are both figments of our imagination.

This lack of faith truly has invaded our wonderful nation.

Believe in good over evil and you will see the heavenly shore.

You must believe but you must also love it more.

He rode into town on a horse of white.

He heard the cry of a damsel and understood her plight.

His name is Jesus the son of God our creator.

If you believe your life can become something greater.

Yeah, I remember the Lone Ranger...Roy Rogers and all those old stars...your write is full of memories and wisdom, it does seem that many find it easier to believe and follow movie stars who are just imitation, than to believe in and seek out the Lord! Great write!
Blessings,

Hi Lew:

I used to love watching the Lone Ranger. Too bad our local TV doesn't show his reruns.

Good one Lew--No, Jesus will not come masked and on a white horse. He will come down on a cloud, I am told. However, Jesus is coming soon to clean up this mess we have made and to banish Satan to Hell. Marguerite
