Ah, amour. We all love. I love fried chicken. I also love to watch the clouds. I love ice cream cones and chocolate bars but this is a trivial kind of love. I love my wife and kids and those darling grandchildren more than I can say. This poem is an attempt to explain although I don’t think I did love justice.

Poem Artwork

We know of love as intense feeling of affection.

Something about him or her that causes our attraction.

Love is that but it is so much more for your love is the most important thing in life.

A mother’s love, for instance is not easily shaken not broken by any of worldly strife.

Another example I will cry out with joy so loud

I love to watch the formation of a cloud.

Love goes further for it calls us to give it away.

When we do this we nurture love which will grow and stay.

If I love you with all of my being I pray that you will in turn love me.

And we shall enjoy in our friendship, a real sense of abiding security.

My wife is my love and she is also my best friend.

Someone I can count on to stand with me till the end.

Love does not know the boundaries of death for it lives on.

Such as the love I feel for my parents although they are now gone.

The love that God allows us the ability to give to others,

Husband, wife, sister or brothers

This gives in return a feeling of piece of mind.

For if one gives his love true peace he will find.

This is a poetic flower scented with aroma of love... A paean to love that sings with a Voice of grace and breath of eternity...
"Ah Amour" shines over the darkness of indifference ~ and strikes the light of humanity.

I salute You, Poet.

In admiration,

Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU
