Every once in a while we simply have to step back and remind ourselves that life is a wonderful gift. If we spend it with worry and look at the negative we have turned our back on living. If we dwell on what is good, beautiful and truly wondrous our life will be that way, too.

Poem Artwork

There is work to do and bills to pay.

Sometimes it feels like something new goes wrong each day.

There is a house to clean and food to cook.

Now where did I put that old cook book?

The sky gets gray and it looks like rain.

Lightning flashes and the thunder refrains.

When the rain is through and all is dry

The Sun peers down from the bright blue sky.

I sometimes get so caught up in my daily grind

I take no time to enjoy the simple things that ease my mind.

I see the trees blowing in the breeze.

Rather than rejoice I grumble as I sneeze.

Allergies, headaches and misery seem to explode.

This can cause a person to simply implode

I see the glass as half empty instead of half full.

This is when I realize that I am being the fool.

For there is good if we only take time to see.

The beauty of the clouds and soothing sound of the sea.

The breeze which playfully plays with the trees causing them to dance.

Those quiet nights under the stars with her as we two romance.

Why is it we always notice the shades of gray?

And not see the wonders of a warm summer day?

Why is it that we growl at the rain and thunder?

And not take time to watch in awesome wonder?

Life is full of joyous things to remember

Starting with January and continuing through to December.

It continues to go from year to year.

If we will only see it we generate memories to hold dear.

Let it all hang out! I heard someone say, what a letter on whatever you feel today, put it in an envelope and throw it away. We all have battles, and hardships to bear, but thank God we know our Savior is always present here.
God Bless!

Good one, Lew. I go to bed at night wondering what fun things God has in store for me tomorrow. It's a game I play...once today is over, tomorrow will bring new excitement...new things to learn...new challenged to overcome...ah, Lew, life is wonderfully amaziang...if you let it. Pity many only focus on the burdens...burdens Christ invites us to cast upon Him. Great message, as always.

God Bless
Lena
