Dear God I pray to you that you give me wisdom to know.

If it can be changed then help me do so.

If it must not be changed please help me see

That the way it is; it should always be.

Give me wisdom even if it is a painful feeling.

Life is a challenge; a challenge worth our dealing.

Give me strength to stand when others may fall.

Give me the desire to help them one and all.

Also my Lord let not my heart become proud or vain.

Give me eyes to see sunshine even through the rain.

Help me that I might help others and brighten their lives.

Let me draw my happiness from giving joy to them until your kingdom arrives.

Do not let me give up my faith and join those who have fallen away.

Give me love, devotion and spiritual strength and desire to obey.

Give me your love that I may pass it on to others.

Never let me forget that we are all sisters and brothers.

If they have turned from your love let me not hate them for they are disoriented.

I will be blessed if I can in any way help bring about their deliverance.

Help me be strong but not strong willed and stubborn.

See me through this temporary life till the day I am reborn.
