Across the beautiful blue sky it joins its friends to ride
The breeze causing it to flow far from the trees and glide
To a destination unknown nor does it care
For the exhilaration of flowing there
It is what the leaf has waited all summer for.
Even when it was a bud it knew it could be more.
Now in the autumn it has come full grown.
In its flight it is not alone.
There are others of different colors of reds yellows and brown.
They all seem to sing as they flow slowly to the ground.
Where they will land; this they do not know.
It all depends upon which way the autumn breezes blow.
The leaf and man share this one thing in common for sure
For neither knows what the future has in store.
We both can find more pleasure in simply riding the wind
And enjoy life; wherever it leads until it comes to its end.
Blessings,
