Last night I had a fearful dream but the fear was soon evaporated.

The dark and cold which enveloped me was flooded with light and the darkness dissipated.

I walked down a pathway in the darkness but could not see if I were going the right way.

There was no light.  There was no sign and there was no sunrise of a coming day.

They suddenly a light shown up ahead and lead me on as its brilliance brightened the way.

It lit up the path in front of me; lighting the path upon which to stay.

On either side of the path was darkness still but the light was there to keep me on track.

If I stepped off the pathway I found only darkness but the light's glowing would always lead me back.

Now I knew I could not be lost as long as the brightness of the pathway shown gloriously bright.

I found I only needed to adjust my way when I found that I had strayed into the night.

When I awoke I prayed to God to tell me what this dream was all about.

He said, “My son, the darkness you were in represents sin and doubt.”

The light the brightened to pathway upon which you traveled represents my only son.

He came to show the way to go and it was the day you followed him when the light had begun.

When you stepped into the darkness it was because you had strayed from his wondrous love

But his life and death paid for your sins with a love that had been sent from above.

When you found you were on the lighted pathway once more

You were reassured it would soon lead you to Heavens door.
