Today my wife and I celebrate the 38th anniversary of our wedding. Still in love and still fulfilled. I thank her, love her and will forever be hers.

Poem Artwork

I looked across a crowded room and what did I see?

I saw a strange face but somehow familiar to me.

I walked across the room and asked you to dance.

Love did not sneak up on me nor did it storm in by chance.

Yet I fell and in falling I was filled with a thrill.

Though I knew you not at all I was in love with you still.

What joy when you accepted my offer to dance and romance.

How wondrous would my future be and it started with a dance.

It is thirty-eight years now that have past and we still know love.

This is a love that we know was engineered by God up above.

There have been good times and times not so good throughout each year.

But one thing I know is I am still fulfilled as I hold you near.

You have been my sunshine when the sun did not shine and skies were gray.

You have been a source of light to brighten my spirits through the darkest of day.

Today I thank you and renew my vow of eternal love to you for ever more.

If you are by my side I will face with great pride what’re life has in store.

Happy Anniversary to you and your lovely bride, Lew. In this day and age, 38 years of marriage is something worth celebrating. It does not happen very often anymore.

Have a wonderful day!

Jill
