Mark, Chapter 10 verse 21: Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, “One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.”

A question enters my mind each day as I live on this Earth. Would I be willing to give up my worldly worth? Would I trade it gladly for a closer walk with him each day? Could I trade my earthly possessions for a greater and glorious way? Jesus once told a rich young man to be perfect this is what he must do. Alas, he walked away sorrowfully is this the case with me or you? The riches of this world are easily squandered and lost for eternity. The love of God will never die Heavenly riches will always be. We live on this Earth at this time and Heaven is yet to come we pray. Will we gladly reach for him and throw all our Earthly riches away?

One day we might not have the choice...but, Yes, we should, before it's taken away...willingly surrendering is what needs to be.

I am going to downsize and move into senior home. My belongings don't mean much to me anymore after hubby's death in Aug. I put God first in my life and things I need come to me in different ways. We are not supposed to lay up treasures to rust, but lay them up in heaven. Good thinking and questioning on your part. *********8
