It is written that as the Earth was formed the word was there and through him all things were made.

In him was life and it was the light of men and before him the universe was displayed.

The light that the word created shines in the darkness but darkness comprehended it not.

This was truly the sad truth of the created soul for this was his life and lot.

When the light came to Earth the hearts of man were hardened by life’s design.

The brilliance of this light shown so brightly that man did not know him for they were made blind.

It was the Lord Jesus Christ whom they hung upon the cross for he came to die for our transgressions.

This was indeed a major part of the price paid for our sins for this was truly his mission.

Now we know the price he paid which delivers us from the darkness of Sin.

Now sing of Heavens gates till the day we shall enter in.
