It was a time in my life when I was sad and felt forsaken
The very fiber of my soul was ill-at-ease and shaken
That was when he walked into my life. He came to bring me hope
He told me he too had wale this life and its slippery slope
He reached out and took my hand in his and I felt the blood that was on his palm
He shared with me a secret, said he, “for faith you must pray or recite a psalm”
It was then I saw the blood on the floor what he had left as he walked in
To my surprise it left no stain but simply was there to wash away my sin
He said to me, “If you trust in me and follow my father’s word
You will learn to know such happiness and hear the most beautiful music ever heard
Do not let the evil one lead you to doubt and do the will of God, continually
You, my friend will know such delight and it will go on eternally”
