I have lived a lifetime on this Earth
And much has happened since my birth
Some things good and some things heartrending
Global warming, wars and hate could cause Earths ending
On top of this, I have not lived a perfect life
I have not always responded with patience during times of strife
When my day comes to stand before Gods magnificence
Will he condemn me for my sins or offer deliverance
I know my body is bound to live and die
But my spirit once freed can soar beyond the sky
So I simply put my faith in Jesus Christ and live by grace
For I know he’ll give me strength so it is his will that I embrace
