Sometimes the very person who needs our forgiveness the most is ourself. That is why Jesus hung there on that cross. Accept his forgiveness and move on.

Poem Artwork

Some days in life nothing seems to go right

We find we can’t forgive ourselves, and that’s our plight

We try to live a perfect life but find we fail repeatedly

For allow our passions for our own desires rule our hearts habitually

When we become aware of this shortcoming we become disheartened

We know we can’t justify this flaw but it too often is our inclination

When we realize we have taken this self-centered position

We torment ourselves that there is no absolution

For to man it is oh, so easy to judge and forgiveness is so hard to understand

He can!

Oh, if only man had the capacity to understand his love

The master’s gift of clemency is a gift from above

yes we flunk out Lew, sometimes big time, great poem in reference, one thing I have learned to do is forgive myself. Coincidentally my boss and I were discussing the almost the same thing, he called them blind spots, meaning others can't see their faults, so in essence they can't forgive themselves for their own stupidities, take care

The master's gift of clemency - is truly needed, these sad days.

Very well said Lew. So many suffer from self-doubt and blame themselves for past deeds. But He has already forgive us sometimes even before we feel the need to forgive ourselves which often is difficult to do. To err is to be man.
Hugs,
Marcia
