I have speculated as to the answer to a question in my mind

I have questioned my faith for many years and this is what I find

My faith is always strong but sometimes it is place wrong

I have prayed for a miracle and prayed diligently and long

Was my faith not strong enough or did God not hear?

I prayed for the health of one under Gods care and whom I held dear

I was taught not question God and I didn’t for fear

But somehow I needed to come to a conclusion

I prayed for something but Gods answer was purely his decision

I have prayed and studied and after these many years

Of uncertainty, misgiving and shedding some tears

I have deduced that God answered my prayer but his answer was” No, I have a better way

And now my faith reassures me that my loved one is in his arms today

If what you ask is his will, you will have no doubt and it will be done

For it is our God who created you and me and the Earth and the sun

But it’s important to realize if you doubt what it is for which you pray

You need to reconsider what you are asking for with this prayer which you say
