Was that Cherubim or Seraphim? The one I responded too so badly?
No matter. Was it an Angel that I spoke too so spitefully?
I knew not that he was sent from God to save me from my transgressions
Just as God already sent his Son to pay the price for my indiscretions
Now I am called upon to reflect back upon the endeavors of my existence
How many times have I rejected an angel’s help while ignoring his loving persistence?
How many times have I not recognized my guardian angel? He who stood by me since my birth?
One who came as a reflection of God’s love for me? He who gives my life its worth?
He had no wings so I did not know him as he led me day by day
When I felt lost and hopeless it was he who guided me along the way
Have I seen him with these human eyes but failed to realize?
That this was indeed my Guardian angel who I did not recognize
To pretend angels do not exist because they are invisible is to believe we never sleep because we don't see ourselves sleeping.
