I had an excruciating day when Murphy’s’ law prevailed
It seemed no matter what I tried it worked out to no avail
I cried out to God in Heaven to explain my disappointments
To this my Heavenly Father answered, “Nothing happens by accident”
The driver that cut you off while on your way to work
The one you swore at profusely and called a crazy jerk
He could have run right into you but it didn’t happen
Thank your guardian Angel for he alerted you to this would be happenstance
You saw the man swerve and avoided doom. This was not just simply chance
Some days are good and some are bad but if you look you will see
That even on a dreadful day, a day of misery
You should dwell on things that may have been but thankfully were averted
If I were not watching over you, your future would have been diverted
