She was tiny little woman
Who was getting up in age
But she touched my heart and made learning fun
And it was she who kept my mind engaged
She was the one who taught me as my education begun
She trained me to count and read and write
And shared her knowledge much to my delight
She was my teacher in the first grade of school
It was she that invigorated my curious mind
She taught me how use an education as a tool
And each day she helped mold this young mind
Now I am old and my biggest wish each day
Is to share some knowledge and to say
Learn something new today for knowledge is wealth
And It is as important to your good health
