Let us thank God heartily as often as we pray that we have His Spirit in us to teach us to pray. Thanksgiving will draw our hearts out to God and keep us engaged with Him; it will take our attention from ourselves and give the Spirit room in our hearts. Author: Andrew Murray

*How often have you exclaimed, “Oh, thank God” when you solve the problem that’s been bothering you?* *More importantly were you thanking God or was it simply an exclamation uttered because you’re glad it is through?* *Please let it not be the latter, something you utter such as those you mutter when things go wrong* *Thank God is not a four letter word and as such does not belong* *Thank God for each day when you awaken and for the sky above* *Thank God for he sent his only son out of his never-ending love* *Thank God for family and friends and for eyes to see and ears to hear* *Thank Jesus because he sent the Holy Spirit and as such is always near* *If you thank him for all things then you will be holding his love in your heart* *And the Holy Spirit will guide you day by day and from which you never part* *Thank God for every breath you take and those who you love most of all* *Never stop thanking God and be ready when the spirit comes to call*
