Why Lord. What is it that you see?
That makes you so love me
 
I have not always shown my love for you
Too often I fail in the things that I do
 
Yet your infinite love will not let me feel forlorn
For it was for my salvation the Christ was born
 
Lord, your endless love I have found to be forgiving
It is a love that now governs my way of living
 
Forgiveness breeds tolerance which leads to reconciliation
And now I find that I must share with others this, your compassion
 
For I was lost and you reached for me in love
And helped me to rise above
 
I now find this love is a functional part of which it is that I am

He reached me; I am persuaded that He wants to reach all. "I, if I be lifted up, shall draw all men to myself." He was lifted up from the earth on a cross of love to look upon with love or hate. He is lifted up in words and actions of His followers every day. It is for each person to make an individual choice: believe and receive--or reject the Savior. His love is freely offered to all.
