My mama said, “Cheer up, things could be worse
So, I follow her advice and cheered up and sure enough, things got worse
Sometimes it seems that nothing works out right
You will have many bad days and sleepless nights
But I have a friend who shares my cares and woes
Each pain I know, I know he knows
He is my savior, my friend and my source of joyfulness
My master, the son of God, my spring of happiness
For each tear I shed he sheds one, too
When those trials come my way he guides me through
For this reason I greet each day as nothing more than a test
I deal with it as a chance to be strong and let God do the rest

Christine
