Life is a series of decisions to make
As we look ahead and walk through each day
Which door do we open… which path do we take
We chose the door and follow that way
We can hear the sound of the door closing behind
Once we have stepped through the door we choose
We must keep looking forward with resolute mind
For there is no going back though doors that are closed
And there are other doors ahead for our selection
So we stand behind closed doors looking forward
We can look back on the past but this is only a reflection
The doors to the past are closed and the task which is ours is to press onward
As we stand here and now to contemplate the doors ahead for our selection
We step out in faith to choose the next door knowing Christ Jesus walks this walk by our side
So we confidently choose the next door along the way
We are not alone for it is the Son of God in whom we can confide
