Yes, if these kids could have protected themselves. If they could have overtaken Cho. So many if's. Is any school ever really prepared for such an act of hate?? Another awesome write, my friend.
The ones that got the early signals didn't learn from Columbine nor from West Nickel Mine schools and went on "evaluating" the information given instead of act and said OOPS! if they were wrong.
For me a tragedy that could had been prevented.
Then again...when those smart jerks in school will learn that bullying
road only ends in tragedy?

1. Right, all loners are not killers.
2. Guns are not bad, just misued by bad people.
3. Most were just kids, did not fight back probably got scared and
froze, panicked. Just a terrible shame.
4. Sorry you had a bad childhood, you are not alone.
5. "Talent is the ability to survive" says it all.
Well done, always interesting reading what you write.
People are the ones who kill, as do guns, but people are the ones who use the guns to kill. Guns themselves don't kill. Rant on, Trask, many people are listening, me included. Very well done!

Guns don't kill people, sick people kill people. You can kill with a table fork or a ballpoint pen. Do we ban those too. I declare, people think with their asses and wonder what is wrong with the world. Every time a dog farts, some idiot wants to blame everyone from here to Sunday for their own failings.
No wonder we never learn anything except violence perpetrated by the media, sensationalized over and over, until some nutjob goes and does a copycat. Driven to it? Perhaps. Maybe if the media were charged with accessory to murder...this madness would end. There's recording history, there's driving it into the ground. ENUFF ALREDDY! Valid points you make in hard hitting, no holds barred anger. Well done.
