I awoke to the pattering of rain In my head began a new refrain I quickly wrote it down my way Thanking the One who makes my day O precious gift of life divine How blessed to know it is mine Even when abundant rain Sometimes causes too much pain Afterwards when flowers bloom I bring them in to fill my room Thankful your gifts have such worth To bring us from death to new birth eT For those who observe lent, stay strong!;-)

From the ashes of Ash Wednesday to the ashes of the grave, The Lord is
constantly renewing us spiritually, rejuvenating us when we are weary, and giving us the impetus to carry on in faith and obedience to his will !
