Is it better, I ask, to shoot a rocket into a crowded city and kill a family because a soldier was kidnapped? I think not. Surely the brilliant minds of God's chosen people can think of a better way than widening a war by retaliation and revenge.

"Ditto Carolyn" We all go through times of depression, there isnt a soul alive who hasnt experienced this emotion, some worse than others, but it is good to share with our brothers and sisters around the world and in our backyard, if they are willing to listen, that though tough times come, and things happen, there is a God, who loves us and cares for us... He is always there. And he is in control no matter who bad it all looks for now..

I think the biggest problem is that people lose their focus and get caught up in the negative spin that is going on in the world. Truly no man is an island, but the world will go on with or without us, so it is best that we give this life our all. Great poem, Eileen.

These are indeed very encouraging words. It would seem that in good times we take faith for granted. While in bad times we tend to lose faith and stumble in the darkness of our hearts. Afraid of the light we once enjoyed. Maybe we are really afraid of what that light may reveal in our darkest times.

Thank you for shining a little light on our day.

Absolutely . . . it is foolish to give into doom and gloom! We have too much to look forward too dear one, especially those who believe.

I heard one of the most vile pagans I know say this week that: "you'd have to be blind and ignorant not to see that things are about ready to shift on this planet! i wonder if that Jesus stuff is real?"

Pretty insight-ful I'd say, and it also forces him see his life in a different light.

Being aware of the times by the signs, and the signs by the times, is not giving in to anything except wisdom. We are commanded to know the seasons we are in by what is happening in the world.

Sadly, more people will die in ignorance than with Truth!

I am reminded of Bob Zimmermans (Bob Dylan's) immortal words: "For the times they are a-changin!"

Stand strong and continue to touch others with your gifts!

It surely isn't - we definitely need more fun and laughter these days to help us make it through this life's journey.
