Poem Artwork

We are caught, frozen as if
In a sculptured moment
Embraced in the clay of lost time
Covered with euphoria's halo
Lips combined in suck of life
Inhaling mixed breath of fire
Passionately respiring as one

Enshrined in the tomb of Eros
Forever meshed in loves caress
Eyes still, but seeing beyond sight
Looking into each others infinity
Bodies sharing the dust of eons
Minds entwined in fates labyrinth
Souls sharing the balm of beatitude

OOOH Eileen, I love the moooood of this...coolness of marble and clay and heat of passion mystically enshrined and wrapped in the delicately enhancing musical tones that take you to this sacred place.

This is a stunning write, Eileen, and reminds me of one I wrote once for a challenge. I titled mine "Alabaster Tombs." I love the feel of this and your lines are perfection.
Take care,

Atmospheric, with a caught in the mood and time effect, that both is endearing and evocative..

Extraordinary verse..

Sugar Creek Chum ...

I was assuredly taken by the Titles ability to splash an image in the minds eye at once.

"Enshrined in the tomb of Eros" is certainly a line that has spiritual implications and cynical undertones.

You write with hopeful immediacy - an intuitive awareness laced with unrequited melancholy.

Light and Wisdom ...

Don't know about moving blues and exhaustion, Eileen... You seem to have been totally excelling yourself over the past few days and this poem is KNOCKOUT! The chaos and haphazardness of being in transition can be sooooooooo creative, exciting and liberating... and your writes serve to highlight all your lights switched to green at the moment, with music to match! Yep, love should be as being moulded from the same clay, with the same vital spark initiating life and breath; the unquenchable flame. Bless you, BE WELL and THRIVE!! :)) K xx
