Poem Artwork

Alone under the shadow of His wings
Protected, loved, empowered
Blessed with strength to not be cowered
By a world filled with abominations
I breathe a sigh of  contenment
As His thoughts overpower mine
Bringing me to a place divine, where
Worldly matters and mad hatters
Fade into oblivion, and grace like
Precious moisture glows on my face
And His toughts become mine while
Trials and tribulations leave my space

You know Eileen, you seem to calm me at times. I am having a difficult time these days and your short but masterful writes make me close my eyes if only for a moment and take another breath of strength. Sometimes you amaze me.

E.T., isn't it wonderful to know that we can be shuffled up under the shadow of His wings and nurtured back to health and forgiveness. This is such a wonderful inspirational poem...it touched me so this afternoon. GREAT!

And don't we wish all of the "worldly matters and mad hatters" would fade from view? There is no greater solace than a little one-on-one time with the Lord, though.

A beautiful poem, Eileen, but your poems always are perfect!

Thanks,
Jill

A beautiful write with such uplifting inspiration...enjoyed this so very much my friend. This would make a wonderful greeting card. I could imagine giving this to a friend who might be low in spirit, or feeling a bit discouraged. A wonderful offering indeed! Enjoyed!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

Excelent write! The more of these types of poems I read/review, the more convinced I become that religion holds so little compared to each of us experiencing spirituality. Blessings!

Funny, init... this "streams in the desert" thing. Who could explain it? But that same power to prevail which Jesus manifested in His 40-day wilderness can be experienced by us if we have mind enough to avail ourselves of it. Having had a few nights of fever, this rings true to me! Be well, Eileen. Love Kate xx

Meditating on that olive's mount couldn't have been easy, even for the Son of God, what we had done in His place knowing the horrors waiting the next day? Knowing that we had the power to duck?
Finding joy takes me back to that meditating moment.

What a great joy it is to find peace in Our Lord. I often wonder how there could be those who cannot see how arid their lives can be without Him.
