Poem Artwork

The day says goodbye
with a soft pink sky
the night says hello
in shades of indigo

I lay on lavender satin
dreaming in crimson
until a black shadow
comes up from below

It enters into my dream
causing me to scream
for it is a demon entity
come to wake my vanity

I call on all of my power
to resist his evil glower
after such a lovely day
Satan is to have his say

His lures I know I can resist
but I must be my best to desist
he knows I'm at a disadvantage
I'm struggling hard to manage

One of his demons in disguise
thinks he has fooled my eyes
but my spirit is up to the task
words I say remove his mask

Raging now he comes towards me
I sign  the cross praying heartily
looking like a distorted gargoyle
i'm in fear but I hide it with  a smile

Once again I say"Yeshua Meshach"
with growls he must again step back
I know I must hold firm to my belief
Satan's saint is  a most subtle thief

I'm  wondering how long I can last
with a swift  leap he's on me so fast
I hardly have time in which to speak
from just one moment of being weak

I know better than to question Creator
I scream the words with all my power
the demon once more must retreat
with strength of conviction I can defeat

But, it is Halloween with evil at its best
A dark angel has made me his quest
I am feeling weak and filled with desire
Will I allow him to quench my fire?

etw~

Eileen, temptation knocks at our doors often but we have to be strong and rebuke temptations blow or it will fester like a sore in our souls and cause us to stray from the fold. An excellent write and I await Halloween 3.

Well, I must say my dear, (lol) you may have to shout Yeshua Meshach a little louder. This is actually very interesting to me b/c I used to have to say the same thing, still do at times and it works.

Well, a fire quench is, after all a fire quenched, but take heed from the Lady Black Wido after she has been quenched . . . Bare those fangs and destroy . . . Gotta love it . . .

Thank God for the Light which banishes darkness...but temptation is always around, waiting to catch us at our weakest. I know you'll stay strong. :) A powerful write detailing the battke between good and evil.
