To the misty mood of twilight
the sun refused to give way
the evening of indigo was ready
to remove the light of day
the sepia colors twixt day and night
seemed to be ready to force a fight
soon the elements began to wonder why
such strange events took place in the sky
but before any damage could be done
fading golden hues of the setting sun
showed that twilight time had finally won
followed by colors of nights purple passion
and so the day finished in its normal fashion
then as the moon shone in the darkened sky
the heavenly hosts heaved a happy sigh
God is in His heaven and all is well!

love the reference to the sepia sky, which I thought of that.....lol
I always love nature poetry, and this is no exception, I love how you combined the natural and holy :)

Yes - God is in heaven and all is well. Isn't that the most re-assuring thought one can have?!

Such beauty in image and lines: whilst the storms rage, we forget God is in Heaven and all is well. Indeed, wish I'd written this sublime poem! The midi compliments the anticipation, the buildup of clouds, the release of wind/rain/lightning/thunder, and the setting of the Bow in the east: perfect.
