Silent in flight o'er the endless sea
was a wing injured bird of prey
knowing its hunt is now hopeless
only the wind can carry it home

Picturing the various scenarios
if the wind dies over land, it
can survive,but not in the ocean
it lifts its spirit in prayer

The wonder of an eternal Creator
is the fact of Blessed Assurance
not only for the human populace
but every breathing bit of creation

Blessed Assurance that all creatures
receive  God's breath of life which
forever dwells within all living things
and are under Creator's protection

Soon over land,thermals no longer there
the bird plummets down to earth
it lands on a bed of compost,and
waddles off in the yard to rest

Or, Creator decides it's time to take
it home to Paradise,it hits land and dies
either way it's okay...Blessed Assurance
