For years, Michael Schiavo, her husband, has fought to have the feeding tube keeping his wife alive, removed. He says his wife told him she would not want to live like this. Schiavo's parents want their daughter to remain alive. The battle has involved the courts, and now the Florida Legislature and Gov. Jeb Bush. Info from: www.tbo.com

A LIVING WILL IS NECESSARY TODAY MORE THAN EVER !! Generally, people do not recognize their obligation to take care of pre-need memorial planning -- the certainty-- and leave the burden on their family. Life & Death Reality. WE never DO anything to prepare for our Death Instead we let our family choose our SPACE to REST Of course, we have insurance cause we think it's best.. . -- BUT -- even though we die for sure -- We just NEVER do anything about DEATH . WE say we love our family but our obligations we neglect So WE leave our loved ones emotionally empty and in Financial Debt Yes, we say we love our family -- but we leave them in a mess. Because we avoid that which comes naturally the CERTAINTY called DEATH Update: 10-22-03 S: Look at Poor Terri Schiavo they have kept her alive on life supports for years. The husband knows her wishes to not want this un-live life. Her parents have now summond the Governor (BUSH) in FL to put her back on the feeding tubes -- what is going on? ACTIVATE YOUR LIVING WILL TODAY Update:7-7-04: Now Gov. Bush is trying to pass the new law to say that you cannot make your choice at a certain age - your choice can only count right before you go into the coma! Who is this politician to intrude on every day life and death matters that are the responsibility of the FAMILY not the STATE. Unless, $299 SS will pay for the burial. WHO voted for this character? NOT ME!!!!

Let us not beat around the Bush. The Democratic Party is not any diferant than Adolph Hitlers Nazi Party. The small differance is the courts are used to exterminate the unborn in the USA.

Christians are not loved by the left. Janet Reno went into Waco and exterminated the children by burning them all to death. The hatred on the left is candy coated and people must know realize taht this group hates the
1-Ten Commandments
2-Hates the Pledge of Allegience
3-Has a man like Ted Kennedy as a leader.
A man who never was prosecuted for killing Mary Jo Kopechnie & fetus
4-Bill Clinton, A man who was accused by 7 women of sexually abusing them
5-The left wanted to see the mass graves continue in Iraq
6-The left wants nativity scenes removed from any public displays
7-the left holds candle light vigils for murdering child molesters, oh yes they do. While ignoring most victims.
8-now the left wants the abortion of "only" fetuses that may contain a "gay gene" to be saved against abortion
9-the left and its senator Robert KKK Byrd also was against the Civil Rights act, the amjority of Republicans passed the civil rights act

in 3 years will we be saying
"HEIL HILLARY"

The husband has been trying to free himself from his wife. She is a Catholic their religion goes against being starved to death. This should have never been in the courts. Her parents love her and her husband does not. I know you have worked with medicare and medicaid but have you seen a person die this way? I have and I am a retired nurse. It is not pretty. People should have living wills. I have one. I admire you for your viewpoint but I am a retired nurse. I disagree with what the husband is doing. We had a similiar case in Virginia. That is how I know what it looks like. Do some research and then we both pray that the Lord's will be done. The man in the case in Virginia should have never been revived. It was horrible to starve him to death. Would have been better if he had passed when the accident occured. Bush was not playing God he was acting on behalf of parents that loved her. I wish people understood what this proceedure is. If anything the husband with a live in lover was playing God. How convient it was for him.

My Mother pre arranged her funeral..It made things so much easier because I did not have to wonder if I was doing what she wanted me to. Thanks for sharing this.

So true. As I type this I can look over and see the 'map' of the cemetery where I am to be buried. It sounds morbid to some but not me. I've been 'stuck' twice already and I wouldn't do that to my family. BTW, I love your bio-page. Janet :)
