Love lives on when the heart lies broken like a fragile toy played with too roughly. like a lost child yearning to return home, love hopes.
Like a once joyful, soaring bird grounded by broken wings, love still shines and sings haunting midnight melodies. In the midst of her darkness her songs ascend above like fervent, wordless prayers.
Love lives on in wounded souls of greatness like the brave determination of struggling, unsung heroes engaged in a bloody battle they know is already lost.
Love lives on in spite of callous devaluation. love flows like a raging river beyond all futile attempts to dam and impede its momentum. a living thing that never dies, but morphs into another form.

Belle this is a beautiful poem full of hope and compassion insightful inspiration love lives on and those wounded heal with time. I love the picture you chose for this gem...
Beautifully put, and I guess its true, tho sometimes we don't realize that the fact of loving ourselves is a another form of it. People do think that love dies, and I for one did, but then again I love my family, and friends, I love God, my pets.......so maybe one form of love can die, but others survive......good write
