With You It Was...

Poem Artwork

Beyond Flesh
By La Belle Rouge

with you it was never just flesh
though with only one touch
in the flesh
we would set afire the elements
with the carnal expression of our love

with you it was about the deepest
admiration and attraction I’d ever felt
for any man
with you it was pure poetry and passion
words, wisdom, and wanting sublime

with you it was the collapse of walls
and explosion of all the barriers
oh, My Love
together we have always been magic
separate we were always less than more

with you it was dancing tender sambas
and torrid tangos of long pent up lust
no not flesh
it was deeper than flesh, more molten
than mere passion of physical touch

with you it was a meeting of minds
a merging of spirits in the void
where time ceases
and the carpet of eternity spreads out
in all directions beneath our feet

forever tangled in a sacred web
drawing us together seamlessly
since “hello”
i knew it was only a reawakening
a purloined homecoming at last

with you it was those Spanish eyes
those words of love and tender sighs
with you
it was more than with any other man
the unfolding of love’s priceless plan

me pierden en sus ojos españoles

so often passion is kept in a bottle labeled lust. yet, there is so much more to this fire, so much that gives birth to the fire to begin with. you have captured this journey well, and it brings to mind times that we all keep sacred within ourselves. quite a romantic journey - thank you.

true love does indeed the physical flesh ... admiration of how the soul operates in its pursuit of capturing the essence of life is mutually accepted and fashioned ... this poem, through its glorious imagery and deep sentiment is indeed a treat for heart & soul ...

Sometimes frail strings of different flavor float to encounter in peaceful settings or raging blazes. The ratios of the mix are determined by the awareness present in the instant. It takes minds capable of exploring depths seldomly reached to maintain the magnificence of the event. Some of its properties may not be fully understood when they take place, but such minds understand the preciousness of intuition among all else asking for attention. This is a wonderfully deep expression of the heart. I enjoyed being on this page to become part of it. Thank you.
