Welcome To The Halloween Ball
By La Belle Rouge

Welcome My Darlinks, welcome one and all
to The Queen Of The Night’s Halloween Ball
Enjoy the chill and the graveyard mist
Time to dance and romance in a bloody tryst

Welcome my Dearies, to the castle dark and damp
Oh yes it’s very dark, don’t you dare light the lamp
There in the shadows the wolf’s red eyes glow
The evil clown is entertaining in the basement below

Welcome all ethereal ghosts and grotesque monsters too
Come in, come in and have some witches brew
Rattle your chains and moan your moans
I locked the gates and unplugged the phones

So glad you could make it all you evil vampyres
When the victims show up we’ll slash their tires
tied with spider webs in an uncomfortable chair
go ahead, take a bite, I double dog dare

The moon is full and hanging low over the trees
Our musical zombie band playing off key to please
Come have a dance with the putrid mummy
Did you try the fried eyeballs? They’re really yummy

Welcome, welcome, make yourselves right at home
No ghoul should have to spend Halloween alone
I’ll have to ask you to leave at the break of day
I’ve been undead so long can’t act any other way

I had a few extra coffins delivered today
You’re welcome to crawl in one if you intend to stay
So party hard and let us see you at your worse
There’s a designated driver outside in the hearse

10/22/2007 La Belle Rouge,
Queen Of The Night

wickedly delightful imagery... a ghoultesquely grand follow-up to its predecessor...and who could deny the honor of such invitation to be a guest or to be the entree....

It's a good thing I'm reading this in the light of day - else I'd probably have nightmares [really and truly]. This sounds like the perfect ball for the Adams Family and some AD folks.

My new dark red as blood gown is back from the seamstress, gracious Queen of the Night. I, Ann the Evil Enchantress, look forward to bringing poor old Jack O'Lantern to the ball so that he may be revived. I'll stay the night in one of the extra coffins if you don't mind. I look forward to tasting, mmm seeing the Ancient Eds again.
Love,
the Evil Enchantress
