hair of flame blows in wind
scenes rushing past

Predator and prey, sexual callistenics, all is fair in love and war! It's La Belle Rouge who gives us outstanding measures of love poetry we can take with us to those candlelit corners of the boudoir and "feel" ourselves in those places she seduces us into...The Huntress is a plate of only what's left of her conquest, the erotic feathers of the quail and pheasant, La Belle of Red has devoured the meat!
Yes, Belle, as others have picked-up on, the muscular strength of emotion and drive is potent in this write. And I'm totally fascinated: collective consciousness is a very weird thing and I have been looking in Wiki at Jungian psychology over the past few days, to do with sexual archetypes and the anima/animus (inner female of the male psyche and inner man of the woman's) I've written some thoughts about it which I may roll out, but basically the root word suggests the animus in a woman is fundamentally an ill-disposed aggressive spirit, rather than one that exudes "male" strengths in other ways. I find that quite difficult to swallow, but may explain why Huntress within all of us exists. Battles for inner harmony I can ride with, but battles for supremacy inflicting pain just don't float my boat... Guess I'm a fairly weedy man-woman, then... but I sure as hell ain't no woman-woman neither!! :)) Sorry for the ramble, but another fine poem which is rapier-sharp on all levels: the duplicitious lover gets his timely payback! :)) xx
