These are perfectly warm sonnets to me, Belle, with the lifeblood of your powerful rhyme and metre flowing through them. And there's an inherent life and passion in them still which keeps those roses and sweetpeas in full bloom. Both death and spectre seem most inviting and hospitable if one has to meet such an untimely end. Such duallisms in the power of this peace captured by your ability to paint the realities and weave the fiction: you stand on the very frontier, at the gateway, and look both ways.... Excellence as always and as poetically accomplished and sure-footed as a phantom gazelle. xx

A finely honed perspective from the other side of life. Who knows if the regiments of life and the soul remain after death the travel endlessly through a meager existence of eternal resting.

Most would like to think so and that is why this poem is more poignant than scary.

Haunting, but nicely done, Belle. I avoid cemeteries whenever possible, even during the daytime, but most assuredly this time of the year.

In the End: Apocalyptic Poetry by Debra Kraft

In the end they'll all be dancin'--all them ones that didn't die.... Dance with me in the shadows amidst the lightning and the thunder, and all that nu-cu-lar debris. See the big bang from the other side, and then open that cellar door. Go down into
