You and I together under cotton candy skies Echoing the colors of the rainbows in your eyes Baby, can't you hold me and chase my clouds away? Baby, can't you love me like you did in Santa Fe? It seems a hundred years ago although its not that long Since you said you loved me so And we both sang the same song Baby, can't you hold me can't you tell me that you'll stay? Baby, can't you love me like you did in Santa Fe? When was it I lost you was it when I closed my eyes? When did your heart leave me under cotton candy skies? Was it just a fantasy a life of love for you and me or is this just a game we play we fall in love then walk away? Baby, can't you hold me now my clouds are here to stay? What a lovely quality this has...very lyrical and would do well combined with the right music.
Santa Fe is a nice place...My wife and I were their not long ago, but our favorite areas are up by Taos and Angel Fire.

I really loved the flow of this. It's sweet. I live in New Mexico in a small town and it seems like the big towns like Albuquerque and Santa Fe get all the attention. Matter of fact, folks who know nothing about New Mexico think every New Mexico city is either close to Santa Fe or Albuquerque. Personally I've never been to Santa Fe. It just rubs me the wrong way that everyone (maybe it's just New Mexicans) seems to think only the good things come from Santa Fe or Albuquerque -- Uh, I strongly disagree and dispute that notion. Neat poem though.
