Standing on a rain-cloud… - (Sonnet)

Standing on a rain-cloud, stardust in my hair,


Reaching into heaven through a star window,


Looking down at drenched Earth through the mist filled air,


In my ears echoing thunder’s crescendo.


 


 


The cloud’s giving way to the weight of my arse


Through the crust of earth into hell I plummet…


Grains of sand keep falling fast down the hourglass…


The act is writ… and my demise consummate.


 


 


But when judgement is passed and a new dawn wakes


Deep down in my soul there will be no despair.


I’ll be standing erect; I will not be cowed,


 


 


I will be fighting back, whatever it takes,


I’ll reach into heaven… stardust in my hair…


And once more, I’ll be standing on a rain-cloud.

I am not sure what form of sonnet this is, but it's certainly interesting. This line could be better:

In my ears echoing thunder’s crescendo.
If you say "In my ears, thunder's echoing crescendo", it scans better. All in all, well done.
