Must this silence be our goodbye?
Is there to be no final word?
No closure for a broken heart?
A desperate soul now ripped apart.
The path you’re on is hard I know
So many doubts and fears collide
And such a long long way to go
So why in me can’t you confide
The pain the swells inside me now
The pain the dwells now that your gone
Each day consumes me, what went wrong?
Did I push too hard or change somehow?
I beg you please this silence break
Much more of this my heart can’t take
If even just to say goodbye
I won’t pursue you, please don’t hide
Anymore
