So here I am, so all alone No place to hide, no place to go Exposed and naked on the street A cliché to my grand retreat When you were here, things were right Happiness was clear in sight But since you left, the world’s turned cold There’s only darkness to behold No sanctuary welcomes me No warm embrace to set me free Only sorrows and regrets And all that was, I can’t forget So here I am, so all alone No kindness left, no loving home Damp and soiled clothing mine Reflections of my broken mind The darkness falls, the rats surround A cardboard box, a home I’ve found

Something I can relate to....although surrounded by brick walls...the empty feeling of loneliness remains the same!!
