Conversation with Jesus

Jesus let me talk to you
Before I go to sleep.
I cannot wait until morning
These words just won't keep.

I have to say I am grateful
That you watched over me today.
You kept me safe from harm
You did not let me stray.

You provided food and clothing
As you've done many times before.
I cannot begin to pay you
This priceless debt I owe.

As I look back over the day
I can see so much you have done
And you did not set a limit
With the setting of the sun.

I feel you presence with me still
As I settle in for the night.
