A New Angel

Your time on earth was precious,

The days were just a few.

And with heavy hearts we have no choice

But to start each day anew.

As we were left to mourn your loss,

The Angels gathered to welcome you.

Your training started quickly,

Angel schooling had begun

And all of us back here on earth will think of you

With every rising sun.

Your entry into Heaven came early,

And we're left struggling to understand

This difficult piece of our Lord's plan.

And though we didn't get to say "so long",

The bond we share with you is strong.

So many hearts were broken that day,

But your laughter, smile and giggles will stay

To remind us of a special girl we love,

The newest Angel in the Heavens above.
